As a class we talked about the sequence of time and timelines and how Aboriginal people passed down knowledge through storytelling. Room 11 listened to a reading of a Dreaming story, How the Birds Got Their Colours, and
were then asked to:
- draw a picture story timeline to show how, over time, the birds got their colours (as told in the story)
- describe how the birds got their colours. Lisa scribed the students’ version of the story.
