When you have Imaginitis the only cure is to grow up. In the meantime... we will have many silly thoughts and a whole lot of fun! Students were on a hunt with their one metre string to find items less than a metre, about a metre and more than a metre. Feet, hands, classroom rulers, markers, pencils, string and more. Room 11 practiced to measure with accuracy. Students were careful to start at the very edge of what they were measuring. Also they made sure their measuring tool was not overlapping and did not leave gaps. 20 Tadpoles We took inspiration from shorted listed book I'm Dirty Dinosaur and painted with dirt to make them really dirty! We read Kissed By The Moon by Alison Lester and enjoyed sharing with our classmates what we enjoy about nature. We made baby mobiles that the baby in the story could look at as she looked out the window. What would you say to the sheep if your were their King? Would you be a nice King? Or would you be mean King? We used speech marks to write down what we would say if we were King. Students painted their favourite moment from yesterdays excursion to The Adelaide Zoo. After they wrote a short reflection. Enjoy these wonderful memories!
