Room 11 farewells Keisha who is moving house and to a new school on Monday. Friday the class gave Keisha a farewell card and spoke about a favourite memory or a positive comment about Keisha. All the best Keisha, we will miss you!
During our Science unit Spot the Difference students in Room 11 investigated the difference between uncooked and cooked spagetti. They role played being uncooked spagetti and slowly boiling in a pot, becoming curly, soft, entangled and of course, cooked! Students were then asked to use cooked spagetti to re-imaginate apart of the poem 'Spagetti' and were asked to write adjective to describe the cooked spagetti. It was a fun and messy lesson. A big thank you to our number one fans - our families, for cheering us on! It was a fantastic day and I'm sure we will all sleep well! Introducing our new Outdoor Play Area. Students built camps, had ceremonies, found snails and had conversations about how to care for them, climbed the tree, made fairy gardens and enjoyed getting all muddy! A wonderful way to spend the afternoon. We are collecting items which can be used in our 'nature play garden' at the school. Parents please collect from around your garden or your local neighbourhood with your child some natural items such as seed pods, gum nuts, pine cones etc. which could be placed in the 'nature play garden' at the school. This is a great opportunity to spend time outside with your child and observe the natural environment. Sean |
